Roadmap for competence supply skills

Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop a roadmap for the competence supply of skills for the mining and steel industry. The roadmap describes the current situation, future needs and focus on measures to meet the industry’s need for competence.

Expected effects and results

The most important result of the project in the short term is a better decision basis for efforts through a clearer picture of both conditions and needs and measures and priorities as well as a pool of power. Furthermore, the project’s result is an important input to the R&D bill 2019 as well as the basis for SIP STRIM and SIP Metalliska Materials forthcoming program periods. The most important result in the long term is access to expertise.

Planned arrangement and implementation

The project is carried out in collaboration between Svemin, Jernkontoret, och Industriarbetsgivarna. During the implementation, it is of the utmost importance that relevant actors provide input and participate in workshops and interviews. The project has a steering group with representatives from Svemin, Jernkontoret and SIP STRIM.
